Managing Contacts

Store and manage contact information for landlords, tenants, suppliers, and contractors. RentFig helps you organize communications and track enquiries.

Getting Started

  1. Add a new contact — Click 'Add Contact' and select the type: tenant, prospective tenant, supplier, maintenance provider, or other. Enter name, email, and phone.
  2. Store contact details — Save addresses, bank details (for contractors), and any other relevant information specific to the contact type.
  3. Track tenant enquiries — Go to Contacts → Enquiries to log inbound interest from prospective tenants and track their status through to conversion.
  4. Link contacts to properties — Associate maintenance providers with properties to quickly find who to call for repairs.
  5. Export contact lists — Export contacts for bulk communications, email campaigns, or integration with other tools.
  6. Email history — All emails sent through RentFig are automatically logged to the contact record for easy reference.

Common Questions

Can I import contacts from a spreadsheet?

Yes, use the Import feature in Settings to upload a CSV file with contacts. Follow the column mapping guide to ensure data is imported correctly.

How do I track tenant enquiries?

Go to Contacts → Enquiries and click 'New Enquiry' to log inbound interest. Track status changes as enquiries progress toward conversion.

Can I store bank details for suppliers?

Yes, you can add bank account information for suppliers and maintenance providers in their contact record. This is useful for processing payments.
